Areas of greatest need

  • The Weekday Creche is open to the broader community and supports gym and swim members who are parents of small children. It is open Monday and Thursday from 8-10:15am. We are seeking volunteers to give up one morning each week and work as part of a small team. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for people who love children, are eligible for a Blue Card and willing to complete Child Safety training.

  • Each week our incredible centre has hundreds of people passing through and using its facilities. The challenge is, every weekend we have to convert our various spaces to host the multitude of church activities, the biggest being preparing the Bball stadium curtains, staging and chairs. To help maintain this unique vision we require volunteers. This would require a 1 in 6 week commitment with an awesome online roster which allows the flexibility to swap and allocate weeks of unavailability for holidays etc. Setup would be between 7-9am with time to return home or have a coffee before the service begins. After the service requires facilitating the packdown where many of our community help but require support knowing what to do.

  • We are excited to launch a furniture delivery service to those clients assisted by the Lifehouse. Many are unable to facilitate their own pick ups so this will complete our service provision to them, helping them fully embrace their new season. Shifts will be up to 4 hours on a variety of days, including Saturdays, all to be determined. No special license required but must be able bodied.

  • Item description
  • Join the special team that ministers to some of the hero's of the faith that are confined to local nursing homes but still crave Christian fellowship, worship and teaching. Rostered on Thursdays, we are looking for those that love the Lord, can encourage, listen and cheer on these residents

  • Every Sunday morning our amazing Kids Team, lead by Terasa Hardie, transform the Seminar Rooms (& creche) into a safe and fun space for all Kids aged 1 to grade 6. As we continue to grow we are looking for more dedicated adults who are keen to love and serve our community by helping to facilitate this space. We require all types of personalities and skills, from upfront confident leaders to run games, to background helpers for individual support, setup, packdown and group facilitation. Team members must be eligible for a Blue Card and willing to complete Child Safety training. This is a 1 in 5-week commitment from 9-11:30am.

Weekday opportunities

  • On a Friday night, youth from our church and beyond gather for fun, games, food and to experience the love and welcome of the Goodlife Community expressed in and through our team. Lead by our new Youth Intern, Isaac Hall, this is a fun and rewarding team to be part of. This is a weekly commitment with team members helping setup and pack down the program which runs from 6:30-8:30pm. • Supplying nutritious emergency meals for those in need we are looking for individuals or a Lifegroup to take on this opportunity to cook. Approximately monthly.

  • Throughout the week we love to provide a friendly welcome to those enjoying the centre and cafe space. Our roaming Cafe Chaplains offer this and are available to stop and listen if people are keen to chat. Sometimes support, connection and prayer is also extended. This is a one hour rostered shift during cafe opening hours.

  • During the week, our cafe is a hive of activity. To provide excellent service, we have friendly volunteers helping run food and drinks to tables, sparking conversations with our clientele. Or if you prefer background support, we have opportunities to help wash dishes in our state-of-the-art kitchen while you interact with our friendly staff. Shifts are for 3 hours once a week, with flexibility to take days off as required or to be a casual and fill in spots for others absence.

  • We aim to run a 2 day holiday program each school holidays for primary aged children. This runs for 3 hours per day and typically involes team games, crafts and swimming or guest presenter. We need volunteers for one or both days. Team members must be eligible for a Blue Card and willing to complete Child Safety training

  • We would love to restart our Friday BOOST program if we can gather enough volunteers. This is for primary aged children gathering in the stadium for an hour and a half of games, craft and a sausage. We need some dedicated adults who are keen to love and serve our community by facilitating this space. We require all types of personalities and skills, from upfront confident leaders to run games, to background helpers for first aid and to cook sausages. Team members must be eligible for a Blue Card and willing to complete Child Safety training. This would be a weekly/fortnightly commitment during school terms from 4- 6pm

Sunday opportunities

  • On a Sunday morning we would love some friendly faces welcoming people into and throughout the building. This is a 1 in 4 week roster with a 9:30am - 10:15am time commitment.

  • We are a team of musicians, vocalists, photographers, videographers, sound engineers, visual artists and songwriters who love to use our talents to glorify God. Being a part of the team is a weekly commitment as we meet each Wednesday night for rehearsal/team nights, as well as serving on a roster for Sunday. The best way to get involved is to start coming along to our Wednesday nights (7pm on the upstairs Function room); this way you can get to know the team and we can get to know you.
